Edward S. Curtis was a self-taught photographer who made a name for himself among the social elite in the booming city of Seattle in the late 1800s. Curtis pursued an impossible task that consumed over 30 years of his life as he had a genuine concern of the threat of Anglo-Western influence and its effects on the Native American tribes and their rich culture. Take your seat by the campfire and experience famed western photographer, Edward S. Curtis, now in his 70s, as he reflects on his adventures, tragedies and triumphs. Follow his timeline from past to present, as you learn his story and about this true American legend.
Presenter Bio: Wyatt Earp, a descendant of the historic Wyatt, presents the trials and tribulations of famed photographer Edward S. Curtis. Earp has toured the Southwest and beyond usually playing his ancestor Wyatt Earp. However, for this one-act presentation he will be personifying Curtis.
